About Me

I have worked in the insurance claims industry for 16 years. During my career I worked as an adjuster for 4 large national property insurers which has given me broad insights into how insurance companies and contractors estimate the cost of repairing property damage to both commercial and residential structures.

All of the companies I have worked for used Xactimate to determine repair estimate amounts so I am intimately familiar with the software and the best way to leverage it as a tool to reach consensus on what the scope of work should include and the cost of a job.  

My career has also given me a perspective into the potential value Xactimate has to any service provider that does not use the software. Parties that could benefit from its use could include cleaning companies, electricians, handymen, general contractors, and even homeowners. Too many times I saw contractors undervalue their hard work because their pricing method wasn’t in line with the local market value of what they were doing. Too many times I saw homeowners with bids all over the place and no idea how to compare them or what the market average even was. 

I believe in taking an honest, straightforward, and defensible approach to estimating the cost of a job. I believe that my years of experience means I can add value to the estimating process, and build quality partnerships with those who can benefit from my service.
